Road Cleanup
We have been doing this project for quite a number of years. We clean the
business park roadway once or twice a year. We also usually clean Century drive
in front of the business park. Sometimes the Boy Scouts help us and this allows
them to earn merit badges or qualify for some other achievement. We typically
meet at Lois' office or Gene's office for coffee and doughnuts and then head
out. Maximum time for this project is 2 hours.
Twelve to fifteen Rotarians generally show up. The project is in cooperation
with Deschutes County. They provide the garbage bags and safety vests. We pile
the garbage bags and they pick them up the following week.
